Fantasy Sports Just Jumped The Shark
CBS Sports is now casting a “Judge Judy” like show for deciding fantasy sports arguments. This is happening people. Here’s what they are looking for:
If you have a dispute and want to appear on the first episode of Fantasy Court, this is your chance. If you are selected, you will receive a free “pay” Fantasy League subscription from CBSSports.com. Send your submission to [email protected] .
Please include the following in your e-mail…
· The name of your Fantasy league, your teams and if it is Fantasy Baseball or Fantasy Football.
· How your team was formed (friends from college, office, etc), and something else you want to tell us about your league that is interesting.
· A one paragraph description of your dispute, and something about the personalities of the two litigants.
That’s right, number crunching dorks (full disclosure: I am one of those dorks) arguing over things as minute as whether or not the fumble by a return man on a special teams play should count against that individuals players stats or against the DST (full disclosure: This argument actually happened in my league and it was a big deal) are FINALLY GETTING THEIR TIME TO SHINE!
If it hasnt happened already then fantasy sports have officially jumped the shark. Time to hop on a new gaming trend people, in 5 years you will look at fantasy sports with the same disdain as POGS and Tamagotchi.
I do hope that this is just for CBS Sports’ website because if this ever sees time on television we will most certainly know that Mayans are correct and the end of times are coming. I think some tablet they wrote on somewhere said this. FACT.
